By default 'E-mail a Link' functionality for custom list item is no longer provided in SharePoint 2010. MSUK Solutions Email a Link for Custom List Item provides 'E-mail a Link' ribbon button to enable user to email a link to a list item in a custom list.
When you work with custom list, you might want to use the link (or URL) for the item. For example, a colleague may ask you to email a link to a custom list so they can quickly read it or you might want to save a link to a list item that contains useful information for you.
